Introduction

Our research began in 1988 as a record for our children of their family history. It now spans 11 generations, 1694 people (488 are direct descendants of Philip Dawson) and dates back to 1706.

Our Family History research is split into four sections, one for each of our Children's Grandparents, namely, FLYNN, DAWSON, STARKEY and LEA, although the majority of the research is devoted to the DAWSON's.

In researching this project, information has been found in various locations, ranging from family knowledge to the original records held at the Public Record Offices around the country. Old family homes were visited and the churchyards searched for any old family headstones; but the most valuable source of information that we have found is you!!

Many long lost Cousins have found us via this website and added their part of the family history to the whole. Many, many thanks to all of you.

We have omitted any details of living people from public view, these can be accessed by family ONLY once you have been given a Family User Account.
